What does our blue collection say about us?

To start our collection is very unique in many ways. Pretty much everything in this collection is a shade blue and it just stands out as if it was a blob of blue, but when you look at this collection more carefully you can see that this collection is not of one thing but many things of the same color. You can see things that most people would never put in a collection or would just throw away. This collection shows that our class is ready to explore the world of art in many ways that it can. Our inspiration came from multiple places to do this project. This project actually inspires me to draw in one color, but multiple shades. This group project just makes me feel really happy inside, Blue is my favorite color. I know that Blue is the color of sadness but I prefer it over all of the others. This color may have a different effect on people but to me.. it just makes me feel..happy! This does not reflect on my personal tastes to much, mainly it's because I don't collect much stuff.  Portia Munson is a collection of many things of the same color and puts them together to make one mini land on color and wonder. What were doing now is very similar to her work, but we have less things as of now and nothing is glued down. But as time goes on the collection will get bigger and more creative.

Is clutter like collecting? Why or why not?
Collecting and clutter are very Different from each other. For one thing, clutter is mainly trash and junk you don't need anymore. While collecting is Basically just taking one thing in and keeping it while getting more and more. Clutter can be somewhat of a collection if you put your mind to it.. (I suppose). Collections can often become clutter so that's why most people will get confused with the two. People also often put clutter together to make collections. Clutter can even be a collection, and the list can go on to infinity. I kind of compare clutter to Andy Warhol, he had many many time capsules and even though that may not be considered as clutter it sure was a collection. Within those boxes are many things, some things Andy may have considered clutter and just threw them in their for no apparent reason. But we might never know.

Both of these drawings look okay in my opinion but they could be better in most parts. This statement is more direct towards my bicycle drawing that up in the candy jar drawing. I honestly prefer the candy jar drawing only because it has more vibrant colors, I just love how so many colors can put on one page just doing one drawing to mean so many things. The bicycle drawing is not all bad but but it still looks all right, and has fairly good shading but it still has many flaws that could fix that unfortunately were left unnoticed and untouchable today. The bicycle looks more bland towards the candy jar drawing, but that's only due to the colors that are within the candy jar the bicycle is just bland and colorless. I honestly prefer the candy jar drawing the bicycle drawing, not because of shading, but because of the beautiful colors I used.

Candy Jar Drawing

Candy
This project was fairly easy to do somewhat. Compared to my bicycle drawing, you can see that my shading has improved within this drawing but instead of gray, black and white, we used more colors. More neon like colors that jumped off the page to grab your eyes. What we drew was a jar full of candy. Each candy wrapper was colorful and had  much detail. At first I was worried about that, but somehow I overcame it. I took my time with everything and it came out well. My shading could improve, yes, but all I know is from this drawing is I know that I have simply improved not with just one color but with multiple and more eye-catching. The details on the candy jar did not have to be exact, I decided to put very big detail on certain rappers just to make them look a little bit more realistic. This entire project I enjoyed very well, it's help me with shading and it will probably help me with other things.

Bike Drawing

This drawing really helped me with my shading skills (considering I had none to begin with). I'm an artist outside of school and it's everyday were I just leave the drawing blank and bare with nothing to compliment it at all. During this time I was able to practice everyday we drew the bike. When I first started it was blank, just like my other drawings. But as time progressed I drew more and more each day until I completed said drawing. But the most difficult part was yet to come to me. At first I colored one part the same exact shade of gray, I found this highly annoying so I switched pencils and toyed around with to see witch one I was most comfortable using. After repeating my mistakes, I realized that I could just re-darken the gray, but only in some parts. When I did this I finally shaded something that looked correct. When I finally did it, I was ecstatic. And after that point the rest of the shading of the drawing came fairly easily in most parts some parts were hard and others as well but the whole drawing itself speaks 'I tried my best, and this is what I got' I think it looks very good in my opinion there than what I can do myself.
